First, thank you for renting a home from us!

Preparing for Move-In

Here are some steps to take before moving in. For bills and address changes, make them effective on the first day of your lease.

1. Put electric and gas service in your name: Start, Stop, or Transfer Service with Consumers Energy.
2. Contact the local water department to put water service in your name.
   • For our units in St Charles, MI, put the water bill in your name in person at the village office at 110 W Spruce St, Saint Charles MI 48655. They will require a $325 deposit.
   • For our units in Saginaw Township, MI, call the water department at (989) 791-9880.
3. Set up phone, cable, and Internet service. Spectrum is a major provider in the area.
4. Put in a Change of Address with the US Postal Service.
5. Update your address with any subscriptions or organizations that send you mail or packages. Don't forget your employer!
6. Privately message your family and friends your new address.
7. Pay your security deposit and first month's rent using RentRedi when we sign your lease together, or in advance if you prefer. It's better to pay with your bank than a credit card, because it'll save you from paying a lot in fees. And you should set it up to pay automatically so you avoid late fees.

Maintenance

We want to make sure your rental stays in great shape, so please let us know right away if there is a problem with the building, appliances, or any safety concern that may arise. If it is urgent, email and call us. Otherwise, please submit your request through our account on RentRedi.
